The village of South Ormsby is nestled within the Lincolnshire Wolds, approximately 8 miles south of the historic market town of Louth. Jon & Jan Thornes - Custodians of the Estate Jon Thornes MBE is the son of a dairy farmer and has spent all his working life in agriculture and related businesses, before more recently starting to work with, and invest in, tech businesses. Jon and his wife Jan, after many years living near Lincoln, have now relocated permanently to South Ormsby and will make the Hall their home. They are both keen walkers and passionate about local communities; sharing a vision of restoring the hall to its former glory and working with local people and third parties to regenerate the estate.
