South West Business Council

With over 20 years’ experience of supporting our members, the South West Business Council works closely with businesses from a diverse range of sectors to help them navigate challenges and achieve their ambitions. We are in regular dialogue with government departments and have a strong reach into local authorities, including the Local Enterprise Partnership, as well as prominent regional organisations such as Tech South West, the South West Cyber Resilience Centre and the National Composites Centre and The Crown Estate. CONVENE We bring our members together for key discussion at regular events throughout the South West, encouraging the expansion of business networks, sharing innovative ideas, and catalysing opportunities. INFORM Drawing on the collective experience and knowledge of our Board, and our network of senior business leaders and Government contacts, we can provide members, regardless of size or sector, with strategic expertise and advice. Our insight allows us to offer a broad range of business services and support, helping members overcome challenges and barriers to growth, partnership or trade. CONNECT Our mission is to create a thriving business community by forging valuable connections and facilitating vital collaboration. We nurture personal, trusted, and long-standing relationships with our members and seek to understand their priorities to help them achieve their goals. STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES The South West is an exciting and dynamic region that has successfully attracted ambitious businesses and individuals from across the UK and beyond. At SWBC, we have been working hard to support these businesses and promote economic growth for over 20 years. Our aim is to act in the best interests of our members, providing a voice for businesses across the South West, representing their interests inside and outside the region, and forging opportunities for collaboration, innovation and prosperity.
