VYDCs mission is to empower underserved Asian-Pacific Islander and urban youth with the knowledge and confidence to define their future and to reach their full potential. We do this by developing leadership skills, supporting academics, providing job opportunities and strengthening relationships with family and community. VYDC gives San Franciscos low-income youth a safe, nurturing space and practical tools to transform their lives. Our multilingual staff, many of who are former clients, delivers free educational and employment services, cultural activities and a welcoming home away from home.
