Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance

The Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance (the Alliance) was incorporated in 2013 as a 501(c)(6) organization in the State of Florida. It was formed through the collaboration of the Lee County Horizon Council, the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce and Florida Gulf Coast University. Despite initial formation with only Lee and Collier counties, the Alliance will proactively market the 5-county region of Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties. The vision of the Alliance is that Southwest Florida is perceived internationally as an excellent place to do business, along with being a premier vacation and retirement location, resulting in businesses investing in the region and thereby diversifying and growing the economy. The mission of the Alliance is to be a marketing engine representing the five-county region comprising Southwest Florida to attract businesses to the region. The Alliance serves as a non-parochial economic development coordinator to site selectors, real estate consultants and targeted companies, working in collaboration with the local economic development organizations.
