special olympics kentucky provides sports training and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities throughout kentucky. we currently offer 15 sports in a year-round program that includes competition at the local, regional and state level. we produce more than 90 competition days a year, including 10 state championship-level events. we also provide health services through our healthy athletes program, early childhood services through our young athletes program and school community building initiatives through project unify.
