STaR stands for Special Teaching and Research. Founded in December 2001 by a group of parents and professionals, we provide special education support for people with disabilities. And for the people who support them. We work across early years, school aged and post school settings to ensure progressive and meaningful learning. We believe that with the right support all people can learn together. Our mission is to achieve access, opportunity and acceptance for all people with disability. We develop and deliver evidence-based training for educators and support workers to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to maximise the potential of people with disabilities and to promote their inclusion. Our role is to coach and mentor those who work with people with disabilities.
