Specified Testing Labs, LLC (“Specified”) is a holding company of Certified Environmental and Food Testing Laboratories. Specified currently owns three operating laboratories: New Jersey Analytical Labs (of Ewing, NJ), CNA Environmental (of Ballston Spa, NY), Smith Environmental Laboratories (of Hyde Park, NY) and Hydro Technologies of New Milford, CT. Specified acquired the environmental testing laboratory assets of International Hydronics (formerly of Rocky Hill, NJ), and merged them into the operations of New Jersey Analytical Laboratories. We operate our acquired labs as a network, with each lab retaining its operating management, employees and brand, while sharing in the network’s join administrative and marketing resources. Unlike other acquiring labs that either seek to buy a customer list and shut down the Seller’s operations, or seek to change the Seller’s name, brand and operating management, Specified takes a different, more Seller- and customer-friendly approach. We seek to make minimal changes to the Seller and to the experience of its customers. Our track record shows that our approach is highly successful, particularly in post-acquisition customer retention and significant reduction of integration risk.
