Spring Creek Growers

Spring Creek Growers is a premier wholesale nursery and choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm with locations in Waller, TX and Magnolia, TX. We are a family-owned and operated business with deep agricultural roots. We are the third and fourth generations of the Michel family to operate the farm. Owner Carla Jones' grandparents, Elizabeth and Fritz Michel purchased the farm in Magnolia in 1921 and together with their son, Maurice (Carla's Dad), grew and sold produce for the Houston produce market. In 1992, Carla and her husband, co-owner Bob Jones, began selling the farm's first choose-and-cut Christmas trees. Today, we grow and harvest approximately 20 acres of Virginia Pine and Leyland Cypress trees during the Christmas season. In 2004, our full-time, year-round wholesale nursery operation was started at the farm and soon we added an additional greenhouse facility located near Waller, Texas. We specialize in seasonal perennial and annual color, poinsettias, hanging baskets, and Texas favorites like bluebonnets as well as our famous delphinium. With over 5 acres of greenhouse space in Waller, we grow and ship our premium plant material across Texas to independent garden centers, landscapers, and regional grocery chains. Bob and Carla are both graduates of Stephen F. Austin State University and have over 30 years of experience in the nursery industry. Their children, Lauren, Evan and Kristen are also actively involved with the business. Our family is extremely pleased and honored to continue our 95 years of agricultural heritage! We are members of and Bob and Carla are both past presidents of the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association; members of Go Texan; 5-time Winner of the Grand Champion Christmas Tree of Texas; Supporters of Trees for Troops sponsored by the National Christmas Tree Association; proud members of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA).
