Based at the historical Jodrell Bank Observatory - a UNESCO world heritage site - near Manchester, UK, the SKA Organisation leads an international effort to build the world’s largest radio telescope, the SKA. Supported by institutions representing 14 countries – Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom – the SKA Organisation is working with more than 1,000 of the world’s finest scientists, engineers and policy makers from more than 270 companies and research institutions across 20 countries in the design and development of the telescope.
