The Student Council consists of two committees, the Executive Committee, and the Cabinet. The Executive Committee consists of: President: Seungbin Kang Vice President: James Wang Secretary: Jared Loke Treasurer: Jonah Milavonic Student Activities Director: Anoushka Saigal The Cabinet consists of: Student Activities Chair: Ludovica Santa Communications Chair: Ziyi (Leo) Liu Media Chair: Qiaojun Yan Grade 9 representative: TBC Grade 10 representative: TBC Grade 11 representative: TBC Grade 12 representative: TBC New Student Representative: TBC Student Council is ultimately the voice of the Secondary School students that communicates between the Student body and school leadership, this is done by having different advisory and grade level representatives that report to the Executive Committee which in turn raise these ideas to the leaders of the school. Our Vision Statement: Stamford Student Council will develop the student voice so that students can achieve a global reputation through building communities among students. The Council will lead others to be confident, well-balanced world citizens, who can make the most of the opportunities available to them on a local and regional level. Our Guiding Statement: - To create in cooperation with the Secondary Principal, leadership team, staff and students, a better school community and spirit for the student body; - To provide students with opportunities of leadership, community, and challenge them to grow as international citizens; - To encourage the students in the school to become more aware of how the school is run and to make their voices heard amongst the leadership to improve the quality of school life; - To contribute to overall school development by being involved in school policy development and to be a resource in working in partnership with the leadership of the school; - To act as a liaison where appropriate between the students and the teaching staff and leadership
