Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO)

Based on Hobart’s waterfront, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra is one of the world’s great small orchestras – and Tasmania’s number one cultural export. We connect people through powerful musical experiences, whether in the concert hall, the classroom, aged care homes, or streaming worldwide. With over six million listeners annually, we’re Australia’s most recorded, broadcast and streamed orchestra. From world-class concerts to music education and artist training, we’re here to spark emotion, imagination and pride – right across Tasmania and beyond. We champion Australian music, lead national programs for composers and conductors, and collaborate with extraordinary artists from around the world. By 2030, we’ll reach every Tasmanian child by grade three – because we believe everyone deserves to feel more through music.
