The Tasmanian University Student Assocation was founded in 1899, and is one of the oldest associations in Australia. The association is responsible for providing independent representation and advocacy to over 29,000 students in Tasmania, as well as at the University’s Rozelle and Darlinghurst campuses in Sydney, NSW. The association supports over 120 affiliated Sporting Clubs and Societies and autonomous student collectives, publications such as Togatus (http://www.togatus.com.au), events, and participates in university governance.
