HISTORY: East Texas Telco Credit Union was organized June 26, 1951, as a state-chartered credit union in a Longview home. The credit union served employees of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Longview. As the credit union grew, the location was moved to where the credit union now sits, and another branch in Tyler was added in 1996. In 1997, the board chose to change the name of the credit union to Telco Plus Credit Union to better reflect the expanded membership base. Telco Plus CU is not for Profit Cooperative for anyone living or working in Gregg or Smith County. Services include a large variety of deposit accounts, checking accounts and loans. Members can expect to be treated like an owner, because THEY ARE THE OWNERS. If you have $25 in an account or $250,000, your voice is heard! YOU CAN JOIN: Telco Plus Credit Union provides all the benefits of a member-owned financial institution to anyone who lives or works in Gregg or Smith County, or has a family member that is a Telco Plus member, or works for any of our 200+ sponsor companies.
