The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation

The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation is a non-profit organization which represents a wide cross-section of private sector businesses in The Bahamas. We currently have a membership base of more than 250 registered companies from various industries including tourism, banking and finance, retail, construction, and manufacturing. Our Divisions regularly meet to target matters of concern within their specific scopes, and provide recommendations to the Government. As the primary advocacy group for the private sector, we work in tandem with our valuable members in the business community and the Government of The Bahamas, along with various Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s), on ways to further improve private enterprise, in order to ensure a vibrant and stable economy for the country’s more than 350,000 residents and 5 million annual visitors. As a modern and futuristic Chamber of Commerce, we aggressively work to support our members and the business community at large. We are at the forefront of various issues, including taxation, labour relations, and the country’s long-term planning, which affect our members. We regularly hold monthly business and educational seminars and have an extensive outreach program planned every year that will make the Chamber more accessible to the general public and its members. These are important and exciting times for The Bahamas and business in general in our country, and if you are not already a member of the BCCEC we encourage you to join and become a part of our active Chamber!
