The Captain's House is available for vacation rentals, wedding celebrations, and business retreats. The Captain's House, built in 1861, is a landmark property on the waterfront of the village of Chester, Nova Scotia. The views from the house are stunning - deep green forested islands, gracious waterfront homes, and sailboats moored in the protected inlet. A handsome bar, with water views on two sides, opens onto a large patio, which steps down to a semi circular wooden deck. Drop by the local liquor store to pick up your favourite bottle of wine and visit the Farmers Market in neighbouring Hubbards to supply you with tempting local cheeses, meat, seafood and vegetables. The Captain's House has 5 bedrooms with en suite bath. Baker House, a second rental property, with swimming pool, is located a few blocks away. It has an additional 5 bedrooms. Aside from these 10 rooms, the village has additional rooms located within easy access to the Captain's House. You can walk from the Captain's House to various eateries: Casually elegant white table cloth restaurant, rustic tavern, French bakery, funky cafes with button popping deserts.
