the channel - a giving circle

The Channel is a Giving Circle made up of a diverse community of donors directing pooled resources to lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) projects, organisations and artists in Australia. Incredible not-for-profit organisations lead by / working with the LGBTQIA+ community, often run solely by volunteers, go under-funded by the government and overlooked by traditional trusts and foundations much of the time. We know this lack of funding is not due to a lack of need or opportunity. The LGBTQIA+ community are engaged with The Channel at every level, from our leadership to our membership and through broader community involvement. The Channel knows the importance of understanding the needs we seek to address, and having a willingness to listen and learn along the way.
