The Co-operative Academy of Stoke-on-Trent is at an exciting stage in its development. Seven years after becoming a sponsored academy we have students making continued positive progress, a much improved ethos, excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning and a Good with Outstanding features accreditation from Ofsted, achieved in March 2013. Our 2014 results meant that we are in the top 10% nationally for progress - we are now designated as a Leading Edge school due to the high levels of progress that our students make. We moved into a brand new £23m Academy building in September 2012 with many state of the art facilities, which provides an excellent learning environment for students and staff. We are a caring and supportive community; we pride ourselves on providing high challenge but also significant support for our students, whether that support is academic or social and emotional. We are proud to be a diverse community, we welcome everybody. Our core values are equality, responsibility and respect. Our behaviour and rewards system is built around these core values. We are conscious that we are shaping young people for the future and not simply training them to pass exams.
