The Equity Project

The Equity Project is committed to empowering, educating, and employing the Kensington community in Philadelphia. The Equity Projects office was designed using trauma-informed principles in order to welcome clients into an inspiring and healing space. The program's cutting-edge curriculum will address clients wellbeing and self-esteem while preparing clients to enter the workforce. The core of The Equity Projects program focuses on job readiness and placement, but the organization also plans to grow with the community and become a meeting place for other community organizations and resources. The Equity Project hopes to serve as a catalyst to holistic growth in Kensington. Additionally, The Equity Project aims to be especially accommodating for families. The organization encourages clients to bring children into their office space, reducing the burden of childcare for working or single parents. The Equity Project is committed to providing a safe space for all Kensington families and residents.
