For over 26 years, The International School has provided comprehensive education to tomorrows global citizens. TRUE IMMERSION We provide a true immersion experience in Chinese, Japanese, or Spanish. At least 80% of the school day is spent immersed within these vibrant languages and cultures. INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE We were Portland's first International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) elementary school, which promotes strategic thinking skills and hands-on engagement, rather than memorization and passive learning. This equips children to pursue knowledge throughout life. GLOBAL FACULTY From preschool through 5th grade, our teachers bring a wealth of experience, education and creativity from around the world.
