The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) works with Londons waste stakeholders and a range of partners to reinvigorate recycling, accelerate the circular economy and help London become a zero carbon city. Our objectives, are: the production of less waste; an increase in the proportion of waste that is re-used or recycled; and the use of methods of collection, treatment and disposal of waste that are more beneficial to the environment in London. We achieve this through the delivery of three main programme areas: Resource London: a programme of support for London waste authorities jointly funded by LWARB and WRAP; A business investment and support programme: with the aim of helping to accelerate the development of the circular economy by helping to provide the businesses and infrastructure in conjunction with the private sector; and Circular economy project, aimed at accelerating Londons transition to a more circular economy through collaboration, demonstration and facilitation with the public and private sector and international partners. LWARB is also the owner of London Business Waste and Recycling Ltd (LBWR) which aims to help increase recycling of commercial waste collected by London boroughs. Visit our website: www.lwarb.gov.uk
