The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre was founded in 1992 by Dr Philip Perlstein, Dr Harry Unglik, Roger Moore and Gordon McDonald who, at the time, were the medical team at North Melbourne Football Club. Their vision was to create a clinic that provides quality care for both elite and recreational athletes along with all members of the community. Our clinic continued to provide members of the medical teams for North Melbourne and Carlton Football Clubs for over 25 years. We have ongoing involvement with various other AFL clubs as well as many other local and international sports. Conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne’s central business district, The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre has a wide range of leading health professionals providing patient centred, multidisciplinary care to ensure comprehensive management of your injury and health. Our experienced health professionals provide Sports and General Medicine, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Myotherapy and Remedial Massage, Nutrition and Dietetics and Exercise Physiology. For added convenience, prompt management and investigation we are affiliated onsite with Midtown Medical Clinic, Medical Specialists on Collins as well as radiology and pathology services. Renowned for their team work, our health professionals work together to help ensure a prompt return to sport, work and improved health. Our experienced health professionals provide General and Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Remedial Massage & Myotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics and Exercise Physiology. For added convenience, radiology and pathology are located on site for prompt investigation and management of injury and illness.
