The National Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago (NIBTT) is a body corporate established by Act of Parliament No. 35 of 1971. NIBTT has been providing social security services to the people of Trinidad and Tobago for more than 40 years. We opened our doors to the public in 1972 offering much needed social benefits to insured persons who contribute to the National Insurance System. NIBTT is responsible for the operation and administration of the country's National Insurance System (NIS) which provides protection to over 650,000 insured persons against the economic and social distress caused by loss of earnings arising out of work-related injuries and other contingencies. Today we stand proud, adding value to our customers' lives with 23 benefits in 7 categories, fourteen (14) conveniently located Service Centres and a vision for the future. We continue to make provisions so that your life's journey will be little easier with each passing year.
