The Nuclear Alternative Project

We work to educate communities about the technological advances in small modular reactors and their potential for social and economic impact. Our work is specifically focused on communities located in countries with geographical limitations such as small islands and remote regions. Small islands and remote communities are often the most vulnerable to effects of climate change. However, today's technological advances of small nuclear reactors represent a suitable solution towards decarbonization and economic empowerment for such societies. By early engaging with communities, we are proactively addressing the public perception challenge and opening new possibilities for deployment of next generation reactors. For every country or territory where we see application for advanced reactors, we set our goals in three specific phases: engagement, education and collaboration. We engage volunteers and community partners interested in our cause. Thru our partnerships, we then educate communities and leadership about advanced reactors and their potential to empower communities. We then serve as collaborators between industry and community representatives to help understand mutual needs and priorities. The Nuclear Alternative Project is not about pushing an ideology. Is about relying on science and facts to determine what can better empower a desired economy.
