The Pivotal Network is a new initiative from The Hub for Equity and Innovation at Georgetown University. The Pivotal Network represents a new and innovative educational partnership between K-12 and higher education. By bringing together some of the most influential stakeholders in assisting students matriculate and graduate college, our network addresses traditional educational barriers to social mobility. Specifically, The Pivotal Network targets the problem of undermatching in the college access pipeline – defined as the relatively lower college aspirations of students from lower-income backgrounds – by leveraging and elevating the work of ‘Pivotal Educators’.
