the prologue

The Prologue is a social enterprise that enables young people to be the present and not just the future, empowering through our 'New Leaders' program. Our exploratory approach to empowerment ensures that the young people we work alongside create the change that is meaningful for them as individuals, being greater participants of more youth-led schools, organisations and communities, whilst having a greater voice and degree of control in wider society. The multi-complex Youth Zone, Mahdlo (part of OnSide), described our program as the most successful youth voice and empowerment work in their junior zone in their seven-year history. Additionally, we work with schools and organisations such as The Prince's Trust and National Citizen Service to better inform young person-led practice. Additionally, we improve literacy and social mobility through our aspirational personalised story, The Secret Book of I, which is part of a wider social project called A Book In Every Home. Our Buy Book Give Book model means that for every book bought, a personalised story is given to a disadvantaged child who doesn't own a single book. Our individual and corporate social responsibility project further enables individuals and corporations to give hundreds to thousands of disadvantaged child their first book, personalised uniquely for them.
