THE Rural Woman

Launched in 2015, THE Rural Woman was founded on the belief that if a rural woman blooms, all around her bloom too, it’s a powerful and deeply felt ripple. We aim to reverse the trend of rural decline in Australia and the world, through the expansion of an online community connecting millions of rural women and providing access to a powerful online eco-system that delivers world-class education, networking, social and emotional support, powerful technology and a member owned marketplace, to support the development of women-led micro-enterprises and contributes to the thriving, healing and evolving of the women in our most geographically isolated places. By 2041 the ripple of our work is tangible with increasing rural populations in the regions where we work. We’ve documented and researched the findings and the impact of our work is profound - happiness of and contribution by rural women is now well recognised and the economic and social return is tenfold on the investment. This unique initiative is being developed in Australia, with the view that it will be replicated in other countries, acknowledging the enormous impact supporting the next ‘small’ thing can bring to rural communities.
