Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Cafe, Catering Company, Food Hall and Cookery School. Café The Silk Road Café was founded in 2000, when Abraham Phelan took over the premise in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Castle, Dublin 2. Since then he has run the successful Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Café and won several awards. Catering We can cater for any type of event; Cooperate canapé reception, sit down dinners, private house parties and barbecues. Our focus is on Middle Eastern & Mediterranean food, however we can cater Irish and International food as well. Cookery School We will launch our new enterprise, the Silk Road Kitchen Cookery School, in August 2014. We have acquired a building in Kimmage, Dublin 12, especially for the purpose and it will be the first cookery school in Ireland that specialises in Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Food. Food Hall Adjoined to the Cookery School we have created a Food Hall from where we will sell ingredients used for Middle Eastern & Mediterranean food, homemade cakes, coffee, sandwiches, salads and take away dinners.
