The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (SCP) is the Professional Body and Trade Union for registered podiatrists. The Society represents around 10,000 private practitioners, NHS podiatrists and students. The Society came into being in 1945 when five British chiropody organisations amalgamated. The oldest of the constituent bodies and the first in Europe was founded in 1912.
