The Work Group is an innovative Social Enterprise, that reinvests operating surplus into the local community. The Work Group incorporates three businesses - Worktrainers, GAME Traffic & Contracting and Recruitment Select - operating across North East and Central Victoria and Southern NSW. The following specialised employment services are either funded by The Work Group or are run in partnership with other like-minded organisations. Mi Work - Our longest running program established with the support of GV Area Mental Health in 2007. Mi Work assists long-term & often institutionalised people, whose diagnosed mental illness has prohibited them entering employment. Geared4Careers - Initially launched in Wangaratta, this program was expanded in January 2013 to now include the Shepparton region. Our staff work alongside local students supporting them to remain and succeed in school, find part-time after school and holiday work and plan for a positive career path. The underlying aim of all our programs is to assist people remain engaged in employment or education. We believe our programs have the ability to transform regional communities over time through increased participation in the local economies as valued employees and consumers.
