Tourism Prince George is a not-for-profit society who's mission and core purpose is to have visitors come, stay a while, and enjoy Prince George. The organization's mandate is to evaluate, develop, and implement marketing programs on behalf of stakeholders while at the same time striving for excellence in the provision of Visitor Services. Created in January 2010, Tourism Prince George is governed by tourism industry stakeholders through an appointed Board of Directors. The nine member Board of Directors is comprised of a variety of sectors that include: accommodations, attractions, transportation, food and beverage, and municipal administration. Tourism Prince George's branding is focused on the balance of urban and wild. Surrounded by endless recreational opportunities in all directions, and considered the capital city of Northern British Columbia for arts, culture, and shopping, Prince George is truly a destination with a perfect balance of urban amenities and outdoor recreation.
