Our namesake Touro is Portuguese for bull, while Churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse. Churrasco is the cooking style, which translates roughly from the Portuguese for barbecue. The meat carved tableside is served by the gaúchos. A gaúcho is a loose equivalent of the North American cowboy. Traditionally, gaúchos cook their meats using large wooden or metal skewers driven vertically into the ground near a wood-burning open flame. They have been preparing meat this way for hundreds of years, and is much the same way we prepare and serve ours. At Touro, we offer a unique salad bar with 45 different items, from fresh breads and fresh-cut vegetables to authentic Brazilian salads. We take pride in each dish to ensure it continuously meets the needs of our guests. Our Wine Bar features the state-of-the-art Enomatic® self-serving wine stations, allowing our guests to sample, or enjoy a glass of one of our 32 wine varieties. Touro also offers a variety of signature and basic cocktails, including our personal favourite, the Caipirinha, Brazil's national drink!
