MS TFI S.A. manages MARS Closed-End Investment Fund (MARS FIZ) and LOTUS Closed-End Investment Fund (FIZ LOTUS). Both the Society and MARS FIZ started their activity in the second half of 2010 based on the licences granted by the Financial Supervision Commission. LOTUS FIZ was established in August 2012. MARS FIZ manages a portfolio of 15companies which operate in the shipbuilding, offshore and ship repair industry (MARS Shipyards & Offshore) and also in the real estate market ( MARS Real Estate). A key objective of the Fund, in compliance with its statutes, is to increase the value of assets held through, amongst others, the implementation of corporate recovery and investment projects in portfolio companies. The Fund's assets are subject to regular quarterly valuation carried out with the participation of an external auditor and under the responsibility of the depository bank. During the last valuation they totaled about 1,2 bn PLN. LOTUS FIZ was created as a special fund, which is intended to manage part of the aviation assets presently owned by the State Treasury. Currently, the fund is waiting for assigning assets to be managed.
