traXess was founded in 2001 in Zürich as a start-up by young travel and computing professionals. The dot-com boom inspired the innovative entrepreneurs of the upcoming technological transformation which, from their point of view, would entail a dramatic simplification of the processes for handling business travel, as well as of an imminent revolution throughout the industry as a whole. With this in mind, the focus turned to internet booking engines which had, in a short time, already made business travel management much more efficient and effective. After initial hesitation, customers gradually adapted the solutions offered by traXess and were therefore able to increasingly benefit from a full range of services suited to their specific needs. As progress was achieved and continual further developments were made with customers, traXess was able to establish itself in the market in the fields of travel management engineering, data and security solutions, and infrastructure and security services. As an independent and experienced provider of software solutions in the travel and MICE (meeting, incentive, convention and events) sectors, traXess enables customers to reduce costs in the long term, minimise reputational risks and increase employee safety.
