UTC Bolton is a new, purpose built, £10m school for 14-19 year olds offering a science based curriculum at A-level and GCSE specialising in health sciences and engineering technologies. The aim is to help children achieve their full potential and prepare them for higher education and employment, especially for careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health and engineering. The University of Bolton is working with employers to help design courses, provide real world projects for students to work on, design and build specialist laboratories and provide mentoring, work placement and employment opportunities. UTC Bolton will open in September 2015 on the University of Bolton Campus.
