Vaya is a next-generation financial inclusion organization. We aim to enhance the livelihoods of underserved low-income women, mainly in rural areas, through the provision of financial services and financial literacy training. We provide unsecured, income-generating loans to women through the peer-group lending model. We also provide a range of other financial services including bank savings accounts, group savings, and insurance coverage. Through an innovative tablet banking technology, we have made our services more efficient and secure. We thus combine the process rigour of a bank with the spirit of a grassroots development organization – all built on an innovative technology platform designed for scalability.
