We are an Award Winning Practice founded in 1979 by Bill Wastell, with the Practice establishing itself creating projects with character and identity. James Porter took over in 1999 and the company has evolved into a modern, positive firm with a passion for design. Wastell & Porter are based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. The areas we primarily cover include London, the Home Counties and East Anglia. Wastell & Porter is an RIBA Chartered Practice and we work on all across a range of sectors and sizes of projects including Residential, New Build, Refurbishment and Extensions, Commercial, Retail and Education. We specialize in high quality Conversions and Renovations and have extensive experience with Listed Buildings. We have a close working relationship with the local authorities and we liaise and co-ordinate with consultants from complimentary fields, to provide a full service for our clients. Traditional hand drawings are still produced if required, to support and supplement the designs. From the initial creative ideas, our aim is to steer a path through the intrinsic difficulties of the planning and construction process and provide inspiration to every project. We have years of practical and technical construction knowledge to ensure that an excellent finish is achieved.
