WMC Retail Partners Plc (WMC) previously known as Wellington Market Company Plc can trace its history back to 1244, when Wellington Market was established by Royal Charter. Since 1996 we have expanded to become the leading private sector retail market operator in the United Kingdom. Following diversification into other activities such as Asset Management and Consultancy, in the autumn of 2014 we changed our name to WMC Retail Partners Plc in order to better reflect the evolving face of our business. However, as Town and Country Markets, we still operate a number of markets throughout England and Wales from our own premises and licensed locations, including New Watford Market and Cornish Market World.
