Wolf Minerals

Wolf Minerals Ltd is an ASX (WLF) and AIM (WLFE) listed specialty metals company developing a major global tungsten production hub at its Hemerdon Tungsten and Tin Project in the United Kingdom's Southwest. The company is led by an experienced management team of British and Australian mining professionals. With its Hemerdon Project, Wolf Minerals will produce approximately 3% of global tungsten supply making it a significant global producer. Construction of the mine and processing facilities commenced in February 2014 and is expected to be completed by mid 2015. The Hemerdon project is the third largest tungsten and tin resource in the world and will provide a secure supply of tungsten and valuable export revenue for the UK. In 2007, Wolf Minerals entered into an option agreement with the landowners and has renamed the mine Drakelands Mine to recognise the local community situated in a valley between the projects pit and processing plant. The projects construction phase commenced in February 2014 and production is scheduled to commence by Q3 2015. With an estimated production of 5,000 tonnes per annum of tungsten concentrate and 1,000 tonnes of tin concentrate, the £123 million Drakelands Mine will be one of the worlds most important tungsten mines. Most of the valuable tungsten and tin at the Hemerdon project is found within large granite deposits. The ore extraction will occur through open-pit mining. Ore removed from the pit will be transported to the processing plant, where it will be crushed and ground. Tin and Tungsten will be separated from rock using various gravity methods. The equivalent of one truck per day of tungsten and tin concentrates will leave the mine for export to specialist off-takers in Europe and the USA.
