Founded in 1967 with the mission of providing job training and employment to persons with disabilities, WorkSource Enterprises has grown into a $3 million 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps approximately 400 people each year as they move toward economic self-sufficiency. WorkSource Enterprises helps people who live in Charlottesville and its surrounding counties (Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson Counties). WorkSource Enterprises programs serve adults with disabilities, adults transitioning from welfare into the work force, and “at-risk” students in area high schools. In total, WorkSource Enterprises provided job training, employment and related services to 391 people during the year ended June 30, 2013.
