Yarm School

Yarm School is the area’s leading independent school for girls and boys aged 3-18, located in the attractive and historic town of Yarm on a beautiful stretch of the River Tees. Its academic results and facilities are outstanding, but the school offers much more than an excellent academic education: we firmly believe in educating for life. An extensive range of extracurricular opportunities (activities programme, sport, music, drama and outdoor education) are not only a source of much happiness at School, but they also develop self-confidence, inter-personal skills and interests from an early age: vital skills for employability and success in adult life. There is a strong sense of community at Yarm. Our dedicated teachers and support staff provide a caring and safe environment in which each pupil is able to realise his or her full academic, social, cultural and sporting potential. Our pupils are nurtured and supported as they go on their voyage of personal growth and discovery! The School has outstanding facilities which are equipped to a very high standard. Over £30m has been invested in recent years and it shows! The school’s unparalleled campus and its range of historic and modern buildings create a truly unique and special environment for learning and inspire achievement. Our pupils rate their school very highly and their parents appreciate the mix of traditional and modern. The only way to appreciate it is to visit for yourself and explore our philosophy of 'educating for life'.
