The mission of the Arts Council for Monterey County is to improve the quality of life for everyone in our region through the arts. The legendary Ansel Adams led dedicated civic, arts and business leaders to create our agency in 1982 as part of a nationwide movement powered by the National Endowment for the Arts. By 1985, Monterey County first contracted with the council for cultural services to improve the economic health of the region — with funding from the Tourism Occupancy Tax. Today, after more than 30 years of observation, research and experience, we find over and over that “The Arts Are the Answer” to overcoming our communities’ greatest challenges and achieving our region’s greatest potential. Thanks to our supporters and partners, we help bring high quality arts programs to more and more residents — including those who have historically had little access. Over the years, we have strengthened the capacity of all arts organizations and cultural groups to more effectively serve our families and we have influenced a broad range of leaders to incorporate the arts to achieve their goals. The Arts Council provides arts education to thousands of students each year thanks to support from local PTAs, foundations, businesses and individuals. We provide promotional, technical and financial support to more than 50 arts organizations thanks to funding from the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. We are very passionate about our work and dedicated to making Monterey County the very best place to live, work and visit. In appreciation of the impact of our efforts, we have received several honors and accolades from the media, community groups and the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. Please join us!

The Arts Education Alliance of the Bay Area (AEABA, formerly Arts Providers Alliance of San Francisco, APASF) is a group of professional artists and arts organizations and their allies dedicated to the advancement of arts education in San Francisco.

Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd) based in Chiswick, West London is recognised across the globe as a centre of excellence for training in the performing arts. We are in fact four schools in one. Two schools offer diploma, degree and postgraduate level courses in musical theatre and acting. Another provides a variety of part-time and holiday courses in the performing arts for all ages and levels of experience. While the Independent Day School offers an arts-based education for 11-18 year olds which combines vocational training with academic success.

Arts Etobicoke is a community arts service organization dedicated to bringing art into the daily lives of our community members. We are one of 6 local arts service organizations funded by The City of Toronto. Our mission is to support local artists and develop accessible, meaningful opportunities to participate in community arts in Etobicoke. We believe people thrive when art touches their lives. Our programs are, accessible, inclusive, and FREE. Our diverse programming includes AMPLIFY!, an art & design training program for homeless youth in Rexdale; Dancing In The Third Act, a professional dance training and performance project for seniors (with Lakeshore Arts); After-School Arts Drop-In led by a professional artist and arts facilitator for children & Youth; Presidents’ Legacy Scholarship Fund for secondary & post-secondary art students.

Arts for a Better Tomorrow (ABT) is a transborder nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that has undertaken the challenge to positively impact the lives of underprivileged youth. Founded by award-winning actor and humanitarian José Yenque, ABT harnesses the transformational and healing powers of the arts to effect real change in these young peoples lives and offer them positive paths toward their future. Professionals from a diverse array of disciplinesincluding artists, social scientists, mental health specialists, university facultyworked jointly to develop ABTs curriculum. A group of skilled artists, educators, and university student interns from the United States and Mexico help facilitate ABT's resilience building workshops and programming. Key to our success is the integration of young ABT graduates into the decision-making and programming process of the organization.
