La Asociación Española para la Valorización de Envases, es una Asociación sin ánimo de lucro que se crea con la finalidad de autorizar y gestionar un Sistema Colectivo de Responsabilidad Ampliada para residuos de envases agrarios, mediante su implantación a nivel nacional. El objetivo es dar un tratamiento medioambiental correcto y facilitar, a agricultores, distribuidores y fabricantes de fertilizantes y/o agroquímicos, la recogida de los envases que ponen en el mercado nacional y el cumplimiento de la normativa nacional vigente. Los sistemas colectivos de responsabilidad ampliada, anteriormente denominados Sistemas Integrados de Gestión (SIG), son sociedades de carácter privado creadas y organizadas conjuntamente por los diferentes sujetos implicados en cualquiera de las fases del ciclo de vida de un residuo, desde la generación del producto que posteriormente se convertirá en residuo tras su uso hasta su tratamiento. El objeto básico común de estos sistemas es la protección del medio ambiente, y su actividad principal consiste en el establecimiento y la gestión de un sistemas que garantice la recogida, transporte, almacenamiento y valorización de los residuos incluidos en sus respectivos ámbitos de actuación, incluida la vigilancia de estas operaciones. La mayor parte de los socios fundadores de #AEVAE son un grupo de empresas pertenecientes a la Asociación Española de Fabricantes de Agronutrientes (AEFA), que pretenden aportar una nueva solución eficiente y económica para la correcta gestión de los envases de sus productos comercializados en el territorio español.
