Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Corporation (AOG) is a natural gas utility committed to delivering clean, safe, affordable, and reliable energy solutions to our customers every day through exceptional service and a strong commitment to the communities we serve. We provide natural gas to approximately 60,000 residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and have been serving the people in Fort Smith and the surrounding area with safe and reliable service for nearly 75 years. Based in Fort Smith in the heart of the Arkoma Basin, this area is rich in natural gas production, which gives us the ability to access and transport natural gas produced from local wells. These local supplies, in combination with our ability to obtain natural gas from interstate pipelines, enable us to provide reliable natural gas service to all our customers. In 2017, AOG joined a larger group of natural gas utilities when it combined with Summit Utilities, Inc. This brings added expertise to the team, as well as additional financial resources for ongoing growth and investments to protect the integrity and safety of AOG's natural gas system. Being part of the Summit Utilities and AOG team means embracing excellence, diversity and innovation, committing to safety each and every day, and doing all that we can to serve each other, our customers and the communities where we live. We aim to bring warmth and energy to everything we do. The mission of the Arkansas Sheriffs Youth Ranches is to provide safe, healthy, and loving care for children who need a place to call home. But the Ranch is much more than a warm bed and three meals a day. Its also a place where boys and girls get a second chance to be a kid and a place where a child can grow into a loving, caring, and responsible adult. The Ranch was founded in 1976 by a group of concerned sheriffs as a shelter for boys. What began with one mobile home in Independence County has now grown to three residential campuses providing homes for boys and girls, two of which are working ranches. Children come to the Ranch because they need a place to call home. Some have been abandoned, abused, and neglected. Others may come from families who through difficult circumstances can no longer care for their child. We provide these boys and girls with what we believe is the birthright of every childthe right to health care, educational opportunities, and a loving, safe home environment with people who carenot only for thembut about them, as well. There is no up-and-out policy at the Ranch. We support each childs educational dreams by helping them attend college, vocational or technical training, or an apprenticeship program. No matter how long a child stays, the Ranch will be a place of stability and caring support. For more information, visit www.YouthRanches.com.
