Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council defines the shape of the Emirate, ensuring factors such as sustainability, infrastructure capacity, community planning and quality of life, by overseeing development across the city and the Emirate as a whole. The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council ensures best practice in planning for both new and existing urban areas. The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Councils primary purpose is to deliver upon the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Ruler of Abu Dhabi for the continued fulfilment of the grand design envisaged by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the ongoing evolution of Abu Dhabi as a global capital city. By drawing on urban planning expertise locally, throughout the GCC and around the world, the UPC strives to be a global authority on the future of urban planning and design

Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) was established in 2007 and has seven (5) entities: Al Jazirah Institute of Science and Technology in Rabdan, Al Jazirah Institute of Science and Technology in Al Shahama, Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology in Al Ain, Baynounah Institute of Science and Technology in Al Dafrah and Vocational Education Development Center (VEDC). ADVETI is an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Government and is under the management of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical & Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET). ADVETI is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and has achieved accreditation for all of its Programs.It is now working with the National Qualifications Authority towards new vocational programs. ADVETI offers a diverse range of applied Certificates and Diploma programs that fit the job market needs including the following: Business, Information Technology, Environment studies, Industrial Technology, Logistics and Engineering. The programs offered at ADVETI have been specifically designed in consultation with Abu Dhabi industry and businesses. This is to ensure that ADVETI graduates are employable and ready to meet the requirements of local commercial enterprises and organizations.

Abu Dhabi Aviation is the largest commercial helicopter operator in the Middle East and currently operating a fleet of 57 helicopters comprising Agusta Westland AW139, Bell 412, AW109, Bell 212 models and 4 Bombardier Dash-8 series turboprop transport aircraft. The helicopters have exceeded 1,000,000 flight hours. The bulk of the company's now global business activity is in support of the offshore oil industry, Fire Fighting support, Emergency Medical Services, Seismic survey and the Engineering and Construction industries. Other business activities include general survey, photography and adhoc charter and VIP services.
