The family's own textile factory, Black Moda Portugal, Lda, is located in the heart of northern Portugal in Ponte de Lima. In Pirkkala, Finland the company employs 19 people and 67 people in Portugal. Black Moda supplies a wide variety of textile products for many Finnish brands and has two brands of its own - Puuvillatehdas and Pikkuset which is known from Kela´s maternity package. The company’s specialties consist of jersey clothing, terry articles, and home textiles. With its own production and close ties to Portuguese textile industry, Black Moda the possibility to provide fast and small deliveries with high quality and finishing. C’est le projet de quatre amis passionnés qui ont décidé de bâtir une distillerie destinée à produire de grands whiskies français du Sud-Ouest ! La distillerie sera construite sur les contreforts de la Montagne Noire, sur un plateau à 1000 m d’altitude. On raconte même qu’un animal sauvage, mi- loup, mi- sanglier rôde par là… Sur ce plateau existe une source d’eau aux qualités exceptionnelles pour la fabrication de magnifiques whiskies. Le projet est en route et la distillerie verra le jour à l'horizon 2018. En attendant sa mise en activité, et pour démontrer son savoir-faire l’équipe fondatrice de Black Mountain Compagnie lance une gamme de whiskies d’assemblage (blends), affinés dans le Sud-Ouest : Black Mountain Sélection. Au 31 juillet 2012, nous avons réceptionné le blend sélectionné pour notre premier whisky, le BM N°2, et l'avons logé dans 14 fûts ayant auparavant servi au vieillissement des plus prestigieux spiritueux du Sud-ouest, pour affinage. Le premier embouteillage s'est déroulé le 30 octobre 2012 par une journée aussi fraiche qu'ensoleillée. Le résultat fût au-delà de nos espérances: le whisky, fin et aromatique, léger mais doté d'une vraie personnalité, est superbe et fait l’unanimité; il fut médaillé d'argent ç l'International Spirit Challenge de Londres en 2014 ! Au 30 novembre 2013 ce fut au tour du BM N°1 d'être embouteillé. Subtil et puissant, riche et complexe, il répond aux attentes des amateurs pointus et a été élu "Meilleur blended whisky européen 2015"​ aux World Whiskies Awards! En avril 2015, un whisky spécialement adapté à la grand distribution a été lancé avec succès en hypermarchés: le BM Blend.
