From games and athletics to drug prevention workshops, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sandhills offers young people a range of fun and productive activities. Clubs are open each day after school from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – when research has shown children to be most vulnerable to gangs, violence and other risky behaviors. In the summer, Clubs and special summer-only sites open their doors all day to young people with nowhere else to go. A trained, caring staff implements proven youth development strategies and creates a stable, supportive environment for children and teens ages six to 18. Specially designed programs concentrate on developing job readiness, study skills, leadership, self-esteem, good health and social responsibility among Boys & Girls Club members. The Boys & Girls Clubs of America has a line up of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today’s most pressing youth issues. These Core Program areas teach young people the skills they need to succeed. All programming at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sandhills relates to one of these six core areas: Leadership and Service Education and STEM College and Career The Arts Health and Wellness Sports and Recreation

What We Do Education & Career Programs These programs help youth create aspirations for the future, providing opportunities for career exploration and educational enhancement. Character & Leadership Programs Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage. Health & Life Skills These initiatives develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults. The Arts Programs Programs in this core area enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing. Sports, Fitness and Recreation These Club programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills. Specialized Programs These initiatives focus on meeting the significant and specific needs identified within Boys & Girls Clubs. Their broad scope complements several or all of our core program areas.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens has provided a clean, healthy, and safe environment for youth ages 6 to 18 for over 50 years. Our after-school activities are designed to fully engage our members in skill building exercises while allowing them to have fun. In addition, we provide the latest proven youth development programs with all activities supervised by trained professional staff members and dedicated volunteers. The staff works hard to provide positive experiences for youth on a daily basis. Bus routes directly from all the schools in the Athens area provide opportunities for kids to attend regularly. The Boys & Girls Club is an asset to the Athens community. It gives the youth of Athens a place to play, work and learn.

We are proud to offer 29 Clubs throughout the Mid-Columbia Region, from Prosser to East Pasco. Each day we have the honor of serving nearly 1,000 children and teens, helping more than 4,000 a year. Our mission, at Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi (BGCCM) has been serving the community for 78 years. Unlike other youth organizations, BGCCM are facility-based. Our four community Clubs and a 500 acre Camp are strategically placed in some of Central Mississippi's most troubled neighborhoods. Each Club facility is open when school is out, from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., which is a critical time to be accessible by the young people who need us most. Activity fees are minimal and scholarships are available as needed. BGCCM enhances the development of youth, ages 6 -18, by installing a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. The Clubs provide homework help, energizing sports and recreational activities, nutritional education, character and leadership skill building, and college prep. MISSION: To enable all young people especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. CORE VALUE: We are committed to providing timely services directed to meet the needs of Club and community youth by providing specialized programs where possible.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County has been serving Sonoma County youth for sixty years! Many alumni fondly remember their days at the Barbieri Boxing Club in Healdsburg which became the first Club in the County. Every day, our countys future leaders come to the Clubs seeking hope & opportunity from caring adults. What happens next is hard to describe. Somewhere between hours of homework help, character building experiences, and positive relationships with other kids, lives are changed. Since 2008, weve grown from serving 300 young people to more than 6,000 Sonoma County children every year at over 30 Clubs in Cloverdale, Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, Santa Rosa, and Rohnert Park. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming provides out of school programming to foster positive youth development, build trusting relationships with adults and peers, receive academic support through enrichment and homework help, and opportunities to discover and cultivate interests. Our ten sites in Casper, Buffalo, Kaycee and Glenrock open the door to a safe, inviting environment for kids who need us most. We serve children in kindergarten through high school in an atmosphere in which all children believe they can succeed empowering them to achieve our three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
