Kořeny společnosti sahají až do roku 1948, kdy ve Valašském Meziříčí vznikla projekční složka stavebního oddělení fy Baťa, která zaměstnávala asi 30 pracovníků. Jako pracoviště Státního projektového ústavu lehkého průmyslu takto působila až do roku 1954, kdy přešla jako komplexní projektová skupina do Báňských projektů Ostrava. Počet pracovníků pobočky postupně rostl a v roce 1984 dosáhl stavu více než 200 zaměstnanců. V druhé polovině osmdesátých let se však poptávka po projekčních kapacitách snížila, objem prací pro důlní investory prudce klesl a vazba na mateřský podnik od roku 1990 začala ztrácet na významu. Po vzájemné dohodě vznikla 1. května 1992 po založení Fondem národního majetku České republiky v rámci 1. vlny kuponové privatizace akciová společnost Báňské projekty Valašské Meziříčí se základním kapitálem 11 061 000,- Kč. Po útlumu hornictví počet pracovníků postupně klesal, takže v době založení měla společnost 124 zaměstnanců a po roce 1995 už jen 80. Základní kapitál akciové společnosti od zvýšení v roce 1995 činí 17.100 000,- Kč. V roce 2000 se společnost přejmenovala na bp projekt, a.s., protože báňské projektování už léta nerealizovala. V roce 2002 společnost prodala část podniku zabývající se projekční a inženýrskorealizační činností ostravské společnosti Technoprojekt, a. s. včetně svého názvu a přejmenovala se na bp služby, a.s. V současné době společnost vystupuje na trhu pod názvem bp služby a. s. a zabývá se reprografickou činností, prodejem kancelářských potřeb a pronájmem nebytových prostor.

The Organising Committee of the 17th FINA World Championships to be held in July/August 2017 in Budapest-Balatonfüred is the not for profit Ltd. Bp2017.
