BMC AND THE BRTB The Baltimore Regional Transportation Board is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for transportation planning in the Baltimore region. Locally elected executives of the BMC board also serve on the BRTB. The mayor of Annapolis and representatives of Queen Anne's County, the Maryland Departments of Transportation, the Environment, and Planning, as well as the Maryland Transit Administration also serve on the BRTB. The Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership (BRHP), a nonprofit organization, is the Regional Administrator for the Baltimore Housing Mobility Program. The Baltimore Housing Mobility Program has opened pathways to a better future for low-income families for nearly 15 years. BRHP currently provides over 4,000 low-income families expanded housing, educational, and employment options in opportunity areas across the Baltimore region. Each family that chooses to participate and completes the counseling program receives a Housing Choice Voucher, high-quality housing and financial counseling, and support in the transition to the new neighborhood and schools.
