Brooke & Shoals was founded by Alison Banton in the picturesque seaside town of Greystones in County Wicklow. Alison became captivated by the alchemy of fragrance at a very early age, when she attempted to create her own ‘scents’ using carefully selected blooms from her aunt’s circular rose garden. With the assistance of the mystical ‘babbling brook and the whispering shoals’, (along with a little help from Aunt Mollie!) the blend would magically be transformed overnight into a wonderfully fragrant mixture & presented to the enchanted little girl. The experience ignited a life-long passion in Alison and as an adult she began her journey into the world of perfumery, studying in the French town of Grasse. Here she developed her knowledge & unique fragrance style before returning to Ireland to establish her brand Brooke & Shoals Fragrances in 2010. Alison’s vision has always been simple – to create her own brand of high quality, divinely fragranced, beautiful packaged, Irish made products. Now, Brooke & Shoals award winning range of natural wax scented candles, home fragrance reed diffusers and natural body product range can be found in many high quality stores in Ireland, the UK and increasingly in mainland Europe.
