Historické kořeny společnosti BASF Stavební hmoty Česká republika s.r.o. na trhu stavební chemie a speciálních stavebních technologií spadají do počátku devadesátých let 20. století, kdy na českém trhu začala působit firma PCI. V několika krocích společnost zvětšovala produktové a značkové portfolio a v roce 2001 se stala členem mezinárodního koncernu Degussa Construction Chemicals. V roce 2006 byla úspěšně uzavřena akvizice společnosti Degussa Construction Chemicals koncernem BASF.
